This oil is all derived from the fruit of the olive tree only by using such methods which do not change or spoil the oil and its quality. They are basically manufactured through the use of coldly pressed techniques. It is perfect to be used for dipping or for dressing salads.

Second, we have virgin olive oil!  They are known for their good taste. The acidity in these olive oils is below or equal to 2 percent. They are also known by the name of the virgin as there is no appearance of inclusion of refined oil.

These are good for cooking. This oil is less expensive as compared to extra virgin olive oil. They are also obtained from the first pressing like extra virgin oils. It provides an authentic flavor when used for cooking Mediterranean dishes.

Refined Olive Oil

Refined Pomace Olive Oil is another a common type of olive oil. These oils are obtained from virgin olive oils. The acidity is not more than 0.3 grams per 100 grams.

This oil is actually tasteless. The odor of this oil is not pleasant and also the flavor is also compromising in many terms. These are said out to be the refined versions, and therefore they are not titled as virgin oils.

Olive Oil

On next let’s talk about olive oil. This oil contains both refined and virgin oils. The proportion of virgin olive oil and refined olive oil can be different just as depending on the flavor desired by the manufacturer. The acidity is equal or less than 1.0 grams per 100 grams.  It is transparent by means of a hint of yellow color in appearance. It has a mild aroma and taste.
