The minimum IELTS score required to obtain a Canadian PR visa through the Express Entry program is 6 BAND. What is the IELTS score in Canada? If you are applying for a Canadian permanent resident visa through the Express Entry program, the (minimum) IELTS score required for Express Entry for Canadian permanent residents should be IELTS 6 points per level, i.e. CLB level 7. This will be the same for three economic class immigration programs under Canada Express entry namely Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Canadian Experience Class (CEC).

, then for undergraduate programs, you will need at least 5.5 bands in every section along with an overall score of 6.0. For postgraduate courses, on the other hand, you will require a minimum band of 6.0 in each section along with an overall IELTS score of 6.5 or above.
