Jaipur: Home to the Pink City Palace and Amber Fort, Jaipur is one of the most popular tourist destinations in India. Its lively atmosphere and numerous attractions make it a great place to start your trip.

Agra: Agra is home to the Taj Mahal and other magnificent architectural wonders. The city is filled with relics of ancient history, making it an enlightening destination for anyone interested in Indian culture.

Varanasi: One of India’s most spiritual cities, Varanasi is home to some of the country’s most venerated religious sites. The city’s iconic ghats (the steps leading down to the river) are a must-see attraction, and its robust culture and religious legacy make it a popular tourist destination.

Maharashtra has plenty of other destinations as well. The state’s most famous landmark, the Gateway to India, Mumbai is the country’s capital city and home to numerous attractions, including the Gateway to India museum. Its bustling streets are filled with life and activity; the city is best visited during the summer months for its vibrant atmosphere and beautiful weather. Other must-see destinations include Dapoli beach on the Arabian Sea, Pandharpur (the oldest monastic town in India) and Pune (formerly known as Poona). All of these destinations offer travellers a variety of cultural experiences.

Best Time to Visit in Jaipur

If you are looking to visit Jaipur during the cooler months, November to February, then you will want to visit between 10AM and 4PM. This is when the temperatures are coolest and the light is best. During the hotter months of May to September, visit between 10AM and 6PM when the temperatures are higher and the light is not as good.

If you want a beautiful city filled with history and palaces and monuments, When visiting Jaipur make sure that you have good walking shoes because it is a pretty hilly city. Especially in the Old Market area, as well as near Hawa Mahal, where the old city walls once stood.

Plan on taking a cab or local bus to get to these attractions and back. If you are on a tight budget, you can walk from one end of the city to another, but it makes for miles and miles of walking. For example from Hawa Mahal to the old market there are five different entry points so it would take about an hour.

There are few places in Jaipur where the crowd does not go. So if you want some privacy, either come in late afternoon during October to March or stay at a place like Hotel Ultimate that is located along with many other hotels around the City Palace. Even though Jaipur is not as crowded as Delhi this still has its share of visitors from all over India.
