As long as they adhere to our return policy, returns are accepted by Advance Auto Parts. Additionally, you can save money by using their 40% off advance auto coupons.


Items that are returned or exchanged within 45 days of the original purchase date must be in NEW condition, which means they have to be complete with all of their original packaging and accessories and have not been installed or used in any manner.

Returns that are unacceptable won’t be refunded. We reserve the right to handle returns covered by a warranty as either an exchange or a refund. To receive credit, you must present the authentic credit card that was used to complete the transaction.


Without a receipt, you can return or exchange NEW items that are in their original packaging, unopened, uninstalled, and with all of their original components for an Advance Auto Parts Merchandise Credit Card.

No refunds in cash. Refunds are processed at the product’s 45-day low price.


The return policy does not apply to any opened gaskets or ELECTRICAL/ELECTRONIC GOODS. A 15% restocking fee applies to any products you buy from a third party, such as Special Order items or Business Tools and Equipment.

It’s crucial to understand that shipping costs are non-refundable and final. Advance Auto Parts reserves the right to modify its return and exchange policies at any time and for any reason.

Any returns to Advance Auto Parts are subject to scrutiny, and it’s possible that you’ll need to provide a picture ID from the government.

We will keep the pertinent data from your ID in a company-wide customer return activity database that Advance auto parts return policy and its affiliates utilise to approve returns, subject to applicable Federal, State, and Local requirements.

Credit WILL NOT be given until the Core is received, and it MUST be the exact item that was order, in its original packaging, and in fully repairable, undamaged condition. Drain fluids at all times.

If a longer warranty period is mention on your original sales receipt, it must be filed within 45 days of the purchase date. Please see our Limited Warranty Policy for more information.


A copy of your receipt will be included in both your Order Confirmation email and the “Your Order Status” section of Your Account.

You may return your online order to any Advance Auto Parts return policy location within 45 days of the purchase date. Include the original packaging, the merchandise return form, and the email used to confirm your order.
