Things You Must Do in Johor Bahru Malaysia

by Nathan Zachary

Johor Bahru, the capital of Johor in Malaysia, is located at the southernmost tip Peninsular Malaysia and Eurasia. It is also known by the nicknames “South Gate City” and “Malaysia’s Southern Gateway”.

Johor Bahru is another place that many tourists must see when visiting Malaysia on weekends. There are many attractions, entertainment, and food options. This is a paradise for foreign and Malaysian tourists. For those who are new to Johor Bahru, it is overwhelming with too many options and not knowing where to begin. We have created a travel plan that I think you’ll like.

1. Salahuddin Bakery

Another bakery is on our list and it’s for good reasons! Another traditional bakery that makes use of wood fire ovens is this one. Their most loved pastry is the Indian curry puffs. They look almost like samosas. You can also find other breads and pastries like baguettes and traditional curry puffs.

2. Little Paris

With its open-air cafes and themed cafes, and you will find many restaurants in the area. The night market also sells plenty of snacks. You will also find plenty of fashion shops. After all, Paris is not Paris without fashion.

3. City Square Mall

Shopping is a must when visiting Johor Bahru. City Square Mall, which is conveniently located near the customs, is a great option for tourists from Singapore. There are many shops and restaurants in this area, so it is easy to spend a whole day here.

4. B5 Johor Street Market

Johor, similar to Singapore’s “Pasar Malams”, has a permanent version of its street market called B5 Johor. There are many restaurants to choose from, as well as many shops that sell souvenirs and gifts. There are also hands-on activities for adults and kids!

5. Arulmigu Sri Rajakaliamman Glass Temple

This temple is absolutely stunning (pun intended). Although it may look like a regular temple from outside, it shines inside. The temple’s interior is completely covered in glass. This can make it a unique experience for those who first step into it.

6. Fly-Seeing

You will be amazed at the sunset at Kota Tinggi Firefly Park! The Kota Tinggi Firefly Park is home to fireflies that have been declining in number due to human destruction. On a boat, visitors will glide gently down the river. It is beautiful to see the light specks around you.

Johor Bahru really is a place that has everything. It’s incredible! It is very convenient to use SGMYTRIPS for a taxi from Singapore to JB, Johor Bahru. The driver will pick you up from your home, office or airport in Singapore and drive you directly to your destination. We will take you to your destination without having to change or get off at any point. You can also give the procedures for entry or exit to the driver.

You can choose to travel to other states in Malaysia if you wish. They can all help you with things like transport from Singapore to Desaru. Hurry up hire a taxi to make your travels more enjoyable and easier.
