Born and raised in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Dr. Chambers-Harris earned her B.S. in biology from the City University of New York-Medgar Evers College. She then went on to earn a Ph.D. in bio-medical sciences from Morehouse School of Medicine. After receiving her doctorate, she spent two years working as a postdoctoral fellow at Vanderbilt School of Medicine. During this time, she conducted research on the genetics of diseases like Sarcoidosis and Lupus. She also earned her Master’s degree in public health from Vanderbilt.

Dr. Chambers-Harris aims to create more than just hair care products. She also hopes to make products for skin care and baby care. She is also passionate about humanitarian and philanthropic causes, so she’s aligned Alodia with charities to help those in need.
