Experience teaches us not to trust the rumors of a new ‘Silent Hill.’ Since Konami decided to cancel ‘PT,’ the players’ desire to bring a new installment has only grown, but none of them come together in something palpable. Hideo Kojima has been linked countless times to projects related to the series. Also, the Poles from Bloober Team and even the YouTuber fiasco that leaked seized material from ‘Assassin’s Creed’ had traces of ‘Silent Hill’ among its ingredients.
But now, it seems we have something consistent: in the South Korean age classification agency, the title ‘Silent Hill: The Short Message’ has been registered. The Gematsu medium, which is the one that has jumped the hare, says that no details about platforms, release date, or any other information beyond the title are specified.
Another small issue that lends credibility to Gematsu’s discovery is the appearance of the name UNIAN. This company distributes Konami games in Korea, such as ‘eFootball 2023’, also recently registered. These are details that predict a possible Konami announcement about a revival of the saga.
All this connects with the rumor at the beginning
of the month that a new franchise project was underway under the title of ‘Short Stories,’ undoubtedly similar to this new ‘The Short Message. All this (along with apparent projects for a remake, a ‘Silent Hill 5’, and a demo called ‘Sakura’) were leaked from an alleged presentation years ago at Konami. However, some of these projects would have already been prescribed.
